Practice Manager - Counselling and Mediation

Are you passionate about supporting children and families? Are you interested in a leadership role that supports people to move forward and improve their wellbeing?

Due to relocation of the current post-holder, we are looking for our next Practice Manager to join our professional, highly motivated and friendly team based in Dundee, to oversee our Family Mediation and Counselling services covering Tayside and Fife. What we offer:

- a professional, flexible and fair organisational culture,

- a salary scale of £30,168 - £34,354

- a workplace pension scheme, with 10% on top of your salary being paid in employer’s contribution,

- enhanced annual leave that grows further after 5 years of employment – including all Public Holidays,

- employee counselling support to you and immediate family members,

- flexible/hybrid working opportunities.

The position is full-time, 35 hours per week, and is permanent.

We are ambitious about diversity and inclusion. If you have worked with children, young people and families and if you have the right skills for the role, we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of gender, age, religion, belief, race, sexual orientation or disability.

We are open to discuss job-share opportunities and possibilities around splitting the position into a role overseeing the mediation service, and another, overseeing counselling (this will be approximately a 50-50% split and will only be offered if we are able to fill both resulting vacancies).

You can download the job description here, and the person specification here. The application form is available here. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the vacancy with us, please contact us on 01382 201343 or e-mail info@rstf.co.uk. Closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 06 September 2024 but we may close the recruitment early if a sufficient number and calibre of applications have been received. Interviews will be arranged directly with shortlisted candidates.

The position will be offered from 01 November 2024, with a handover-overlap with the current post-holder, which might be completed remotely.

Family Support Worker - based in Glenrothes

We are looking for a Family Support Worker to join our team. The post is based in Glenrothes and entails working directly with parents/caregivers who use our Centres in Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and Perth, so some travel will be required, according to needs. The working week would follow the Centre opening times on two out of four Saturdays, and one or two other days during the week (to be agreed with the successful candidate).

What we offer:

- a professional, flexible and fair organisational culture,

- a salary scale of £25,906 - £29,276 (to be pro-rated based on a 35-hour week)

- a workplace pension scheme, with 10% on top of your salary being paid in employer’s contribution (subject to qualifying criteria),

- enhanced annual leave that grows further after 5 years of employment – including all Public Holidays,

- employee counselling support to you and immediate family members,

- flexible/hybrid working opportunities.

We are ambitious about diversity and inclusion. If you have worked with children and families and if you have the right skills for the role, we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of gender, age, religion, belief, race, sexual orientation or disability.

The person specification gives a broad indication of expectations. Please get in touch if you feel you would have a lot to offer even if it isn’t an exact match with our requirements.

You can download the application form here, and the job specification here. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the vacancy with us, please contact us on 01382 201343 or e-mail info@rstf.co.uk. There is no formal deadline but we will close the recruitment as soon as a sufficient number and calibre of applications have been received. Interviews will be arranged directly with shortlisted candidates.

Volunteer in our Children's Contact Centres

Help us, help families

Volunteers are key to delivering our services in our Children's Contact Centres. They support the Child Contact Centre Organisers in their role to provide a neutral, welcoming, safe, child-focused environment and to facilitate contact between children and their non-residential parent or other family member.

This rewarding and challenging role can suit you if you would like to dedicate some of your time to helping families and children. Equally, if you are looking for some experience that will be useful in contributing to your studies or work in fields such as Childcare, Social Work, Family Law, Early Learning and Education or similar areas, this can be a great opportunity for you. Volunteers benefit from a training package and any expenses will be reimbursed.

  • In Dundee the Centre is open on Thursdays & Saturdays
  • In Arbroath, Perth, Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes, the Centres are open on Saturdays

If you are interested in this opportunity please contact our local office.
